Job summary

Jack Henry is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to scale AI proofs of concept into production-ready software. You will own AI systems across MCP servers and related workflows, collaborating with cybersecurity and cloud teams to ensure secure, observable operations.

The role emphasizes experimentation, governance, and hands-on delivery in a hybrid environment. You will work with internal users to turn POCs into reliable software, mentor engineers, and push for production-ready standards in AI systems

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of technical experience in software development.
• Production ownership of AI systems (AI agents, AI features in products, MCP servers, etc).
• Experience with a major cloud environment (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Experience with unit testing and end-to-end automated testing.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% for internal meetings, training or conferences.
• Bachelor's degree is nice to have; Fintech experience and Terraform instill domain familiarity.
• Experience in cloud security, DevOps practices, AI model tuning, evals, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Performs and leads system analysis and programming activities that take AI proofs of concept to production-ready software.
• Leads technical engineering support for new and existing applications from delivery to retirement.
• Develops, tests and reviews applications based on business requirements and best practices, using agentic development workflows.
• Collaborates with cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and AI governance teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Leads unit tests, integration tests, and evals to ensure reliability, security, and performance of AI systems and workflows.
• Creates required technical documentation and stays updated with emerging AI technologies and trends.
