Job summary

Jack Henry's AI Platform team seeks a Senior AI Engineer to turn promising prototypes into reliable production systems. You will own AI workflows, collaborate with cybersecurity and cloud teams, and mentor junior engineers. Hybrid role with remote options and on-site days in select offices.

You’ll ship scalable software, support AI governance, and ensure observability and explainability under regulatory constraints. Travel up to 5% is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of software development experience.
• Production ownership of AI systems (AI agents, AI features).
• Experience with a major cloud environment (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Unit testing and end-to-end automated testing experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
• Self-directed and able to push through roadblocks.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% for meetings or conferences.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and development to production-ready AI software.
• Provide engineering support for new and existing applications.
• Develop and review applications based on business needs and best practices.
• Collaborate with security, cloud, and AI governance teams.
• Lead testing, evals, and documentation for AI systems.
• Stay current with AI trends and propose improvements.
