Job summary

Workiva Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead a domain within the AI Enablement team, bridging AI-adjacent and AI-native workflows.

You will own a key area like the MCP ecosystem, drive architecture across the stack, and push for secure, scalable AI integrations. You will collaborate with product teams to embed AI agents into workflows, document golden paths, and mentor colleagues on AI-augmented development practices, while maintaining security and reliability across FedRAMP

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Strong back-end skills with Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Experience using AI-augmented IDEs (Cursor, Claude Code).
• Ability to translate complex technical implementations into clear, actionable documentation for the broader engineering org.

Responsibilities

• Own a specific technical domain (e.g., MCP server infrastructure).
• Build & Deploy internal MCP servers and deploy cloud-hosted autonomous agents within FedRAMP boundaries.
• Deliver software solutions through milestones with sustainable, reusable, and AI-augmented design.
• Evaluate AI tools for compatibility with Workiva architecture and security standards.
