Job summary

Workiva Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for AI Enablement to bridge AI-adjacent and AI-native development. You will own a domain such as the MCP ecosystem or wk-ai-prototyping, while contributing across the stack and guiding AI integration across teams.

You’ll work on deploying internal AI infra, integrating Jira, Splunk, and Datadog, and advancing automated testing agents within FedRAMP boundaries. A strong back-end and AI tooling background is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in back-end services, proxy servers, and API integrations.
• Experience with Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Experience using AI-augmented IDEs (Cursor, Claude Code) to maintain throughput.

Responsibilities

• Own a specific technical domain (e.g., MCP server infra or wk-ai-prototyping repo).
• Build, maintain, and deploy internal MCP servers and AI agents within security boundaries.
• Conduct spikes on AI tools to ensure architectural compatibility and security.
