Job summary

Workiva, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive the AI Enablement team's technical capabilities. You will own a domain (e.g., MCP server infrastructure) and become the go-to expert while contributing across the stack.

You will design and maintain internal servers, integrate tools and dashboards, and mentor teammates on AI-augmented development practices. Remote-friendly role in the US with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of related software development experience.
• Proficiency in back-end services, proxy servers, and API integrations; Python/Go/TypeScript preferred.
• Experience with AI-augmented IDEs (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code).
• Ability to translate complex tech into clear docs for engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own a domain (e.g., MCP server infrastructure) and be the primary maintainer.
• Build & deploy internal MCP servers and deploy cloud-hosted agents within FedRAMP boundaries.
• Deliver scalable software solutions with sustainable, reusable code.
• Evaluate new AI tools to ensure compatibility with Workiva architecture and security standards.
