Job summary

Zendesk, Inc. is seeking a technically driven engineer to craft Proof-of-Concepts and tailored prototypes that demonstrate the power of Zendesk’s platform and AI capabilities.

You will build and maintain API integrations, connect Zendesk to complex client stacks, and own deep technical validations with account teams. You will also help scale internal tooling, create reusable demos, and continuously learn AI trends such as LLMs and autonomous workflows, while traveling ~30% for on-site workshops

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, or related technical discipline.
• 2 to 4 years of technical client-facing experience or as a hands-on software developer pivoting to a strategic field role.
• Proficiency with modern programming languages and web technologies (JavaScript, Python, Node.js) and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Strong interest in AI technologies including prompt engineering, LLMs, and autonomous software workflows.
• Willingness to travel about 30% annually for on-site workshops and client sessions.

Responsibilities

• Develop Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) and tailor prototypes to showcase Zendesk platform and AI capabilities.
• Build and maintain API integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, middleware, and cloud infrastructure.
• Own technical validation with account teams and handle Security/Architecture questionnaires.
• Scale internal tooling by creating reusable code snippets, demo accelerators, and automation templates.
• Continuously learn modern software trends including LLMs, prompt engineering, and autonomous agent frameworks.
