Job summary

EY is seeking a senior software/AI-focused engineer to lead and coach a medium to large product team in a hybrid US-based role. You will design, develop, deliver, and maintain AI-enabled solutions, driving compliance with industry standards and adopting AI-forward development practices.

You will collaborate across Development, Engineering and Architecture teams, provide technical leadership, and contribute to continuous improvement while aligning business and technical requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, IT, mathematics, or related field preferred.
• More than 10 years applied experience.
• Significant experience in software/platform engineering roles.
• Technical knowledge delivering software/platform engineering solutions.
• CI/CD delivery using code/config/automation tools such as GitHub and ADO.
• Proficiency in fine-tuning language models for tasks like text generation, summarization, or Q&A.
• Knowledge of embedding models for NLP tasks like similarity matching and retrieval.
• Familiarity with designing agentic systems that combine AI models with external tools.

Responsibilities

• Solves complex aspects of a project, coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting.
• Provides advanced technical expertise to maximize efficiency and reliability.
• Develops strong relationships across Development, Engineering and Architecture teams.
• Provides leadership to the work group to ensure delivery.
• Drives consistency in processes, standards, and technical design.
