Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a seasoned instructional designer to shape AI-enabled learning content for the AI Learning & Knowledge Enablement team. You will design courses, govern AI-assisted content, and partner with Platforms to translate technology decisions into operational impact.

You will lead projects, maintain content standards, and pursue opportunities to automate workflows, ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions for travelers and Expedia Group partners.

Qualifications

• Applied knowledge of adult learning theory and its use in determining what solution to build.
• Hands-on instructional design and course development experience.
• Sound judgment in evaluating content quality, prioritization, and business value.
• Systems thinking to anticipate effects on adjacent teams.
• Ability to execute defined work and resolve ambiguities.
• Experience organizing content in GitHub and Confluence.
• Strong project management including intake, triage, and delegation.
• Experience evaluating content for AI readiness and traceability.
• Identify practical opportunities to use AI to improve workflows.
• Proficient stakeholder management and leadership communication.
• Ability to set standards while contributing to deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of instructional content and courses.
• Establish standards, templates, and quality gates for content creation.
• Translate source material into learning strategies and build specifications.
• Oversee intake, triage, and lifecycle management for assigned work.
• Govern AI-assisted content for accuracy and safe use by AI systems.
• Evaluate new learning tools and lead proof-of-concept efforts.
• Coordinate with Platforms to translate technology decisions into impact.
• Identify opportunities to automate workflows and boost efficiency.
• Design in-the-flow practice experiences when valuable.
• Set priorities using performance signals and governed knowledge.
