Job summary

ServiceNow, Inc. is seeking a senior software engineer in Santa Clara for the AIUX team that builds the AI-first user interfaces and platform foundations.

You will own full-stack architectural decisions across SSR runtime and Glide integration, collaborating with product owners, and shaping scalable, reusable UI components like Employee Slate. You will drive design, quality, and performance, mentoring teammates and aligning with modern UI frameworks, distributed services, and cloud-native

Qualifications

• Experience integrating AI into work processes or automation workflows.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar field.
• 3 years of professional software engineering with deep JavaScript expertise and substantial OO language experience (Java, C++, C#, Go).
• Passion for JavaScript and the Web as a platform, with focus on reusability and componentization.
• Strong knowledge of modern UI frameworks (Angular, React, Vue, or Lit).
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, OOD, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases: development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Experience with server-side rendering and hydration and isomorphic rendering challenges.
• Strong systems-level Node.js experience: isolation, HTTP/1.1/HTTP/2, reverse proxying, concurrent rollouts.
• Comfortable working across JVM/Maven backend with ServiceNow Glide platform conventions and Node/TypeScript SSR stack.
• Proven senior individual contributor with code quality focus and mentoring experience.
• Exposure to Cloud Dev, Platforms, Web Dev, Frameworks, and SOA.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners to understand requirements and drive full development lifecycle.
• Build software that is simple to use and customizable for customers.
• Contribute to design and implementation of new products and enhancements.
• Apply advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms, OO design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations.
• Raise the engineering bar through architecture reviews, code reviews, mentoring, and technical direction.
