Job summary

ServiceNow is building the next generation of AI-native enterprise applications with industry-focused solutions. We seek an Associate Applications Development Engineer to contribute to full-stack production software, from front-end interfaces to back-end services, under guidance from senior engineers.

You will learn to write tests, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into working software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 0–2 years of professional software engineering experience or strong internship/project background.
• Foundational knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and OOP; basic proficiency in at least one modern language and framework.
• Exposure to front-end development (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, React/Angular/Vue) and back-end APIs.
• Basic familiarity with Git, cloud concepts, and QA practices including unit testing.

Responsibilities

• Complete guided bug fixes, simple feature enhancements, and test writing across front-end and back-end layers.
• Contribute to AI-native features under supervision, learning system design and testing.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; participate in code reviews and follow coding standards.
• Begin using AI coding assistants under supervision to accelerate implementation and learn to evaluate AI-generated code.
• Learn CI/CD pipelines, participate in deployments, and understand production readiness.
• Communicate progress clearly in sprint ceremonies and collaborate with PMs, designers, and senior engineers to translate requirements into working software.
