Job summary

GitLab is hiring a Senior Solutions Architect to help prospects and customers in the East region of the United States understand how our AI-powered DevSecOps platform can solve technical challenges and drive business outcomes across the software lifecycle.

You will act as a strategic technical advisor, guiding complex evaluations, shaping multi-team transformation, mentoring peers, and demonstrating GitLab’s differentiated value in a fast-changing AI market.

Qualifications

• Experience guiding solution design and technical evaluations.
• Ability to solve complex customer issues with broad scope.
• Knowledge of end-to-end software development lifecycle, including DevSecOps, CI/CD, security and cloud.
• Hands-on familiarity with GitLab or similar platforms and connecting capabilities to customer goals.
• Experience facilitating workshops, leading proofs of concept, and contributing to technical assessments.
• Strong communication to adapt technical and business messages for diverse stakeholders.
• Relationship-building with a customer-focused approach and advocacy for customer requirements.
• Interest in continuous learning and mentoring within GitLab, AI, and DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Guide technical discovery, product demonstrations, and validation activities to confirm technical fit.
• Own the technical evaluation process for complex opportunities with documented outcomes.
• Develop end-to-end technical strategies for accounts to expand platform adoption.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and regional teams to align technical strategy with customer priorities.
• Advise on modern software development practices to improve delivery and security outcomes.
• Drive competitive analysis to clarify GitLab’s differentiated approach.
• Represent customer voice to Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing.
• Mentor other Solutions Architects and share knowledge across teams.
