Job summary

Databricks in San Francisco seeks a Sr. Deployment Strategist to bridge customer problems and technical solutions on the Forward Deployed Engineering team. You’ll act as the product manager for the customer's problem, defining MVPs and writing PRDs while partnering with engineers to realize a production-ready solution.

You will build executive trust, map the landscape, and scope value, owning Day 0 launch and ongoing adoption with a focus on measurable business outcomes and scalable patterns.

Qualifications

• Executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Clear product requirements and prioritization for complex data/AI engagements.
• Deep understanding of cloud data architectures and security considerations.
• Hands-on capability in at least one language (Python/Java/SQL).
• 7+ years delivering customer-facing data, analytics, AI, or software projects.

Responsibilities

• Map the customer's landscape, define MVPs, and quantify business value.
• Author PRDs, translate needs into data, integration, security, and ops specs.
• Lead agile delivery with the FDE team and manage stakeholders from C‑suite to engineers.
• Own Day 0 launch, monitor adoption, and drive production readiness.
• Develop reusable solution patterns and handoff to Product/Engineering.
