Job summary

Databricks seeks a Sr. Deployment Strategist, FDE - Public Sector, to bridge business problems with technical solutions. You will own the product direction, write the PRD, and collaborate with a cross-functional team to move from discovery to production.

You will build C-suite trust, scope value, and drive adoption, while managing risks and ensuring Day 0 readiness with data quality, security, and operations in mind.

Qualifications

• You are a trusted advisor with executive presence and excellent communication.
• You can define what to build, write PRDs, prioritize work, and lead complex agile software projects.
• You understand modern data and AI architectures, cloud platforms, data pipelines, and security/governance.
• You are proficient in Python, Java, or SQL and can prototype or troubleshoot.
• Typically 7+ years delivering data, analytics, AI, or software engagements, or equivalent experience.
• You enjoy onsite work with customers (often 25–50%) to drive delivery and impact.

Responsibilities

• C-Suite scoping and value definition with Sales and stakeholders.
• End-to-End product ownership, backlog prioritization, and QA oversight.
• Lead technical discovery, design reviews, and architecture decisions.
• Own the Day 0 launch, production readiness, and adoption measurement.
• Strategic handoff, documentation, training, and identification of next engagements.
