Job summary

Remote is seeking a technically savvy professional to design and ship AI-enabled solutions that integrate with customer systems on our remote-first platform. You will own end-to-end deployments, ensure reliability, and collaborate across Product, Engineering, and customer teams.

You’ll work with data, evaluate AI behavior, and iterate quickly based on evidence, while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping production software (backend and/or full-stack) in production.
• Strong integration and systems thinking: APIs, event-driven systems, data modeling, idempotency, and failure modes.
• Applied AI/LLM experience beyond prototypes: prompt design, RAG, evaluation, latency/cost trade-offs, reliability practices.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and ship solutions with minimal hand-holding.
• Clear, structured written communication to explain trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to understand operational challenges and define the definition of done.
• Translate problems into clear technical designs and implementation plans (architecture, data flows, security).
• Build AI-enabled solutions integrating with customer systems and Remote’s platform.
• Own deployments including reliability, performance, and observability; incident response.
• Develop evaluation measures for AI behavior: metrics, datasets, regression suites, guardrails.
• Work with real data to validate outputs and quantify impact.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to ship high-quality solutions and reusable components.
• Create playbooks, reference architectures, templates, and internal tooling.
• Be the voice of the field and feed customer needs into product strategy.
