Job summary

MLabs is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to own the technical customer journey from discovery through deployment, rollout, adoption, and scaling in a high-autonomy AI environment. The role blends technical strategy with hands-on execution across product, sales, and engineering to deliver enterprise AI solutions.

The candidate will design tailored AI architectures, validate opportunities during pre-sales, and drive post-sales execution to production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in forward deployed/solutions engineering with end-to-end customer ownership.
• Experience taking ambiguous client challenges from discovery through production deployment.
• Strong ability to evaluate trade-offs across client needs, product features, engineering complexity, cost, and latency.
• Proficiency with Python and/or Rust, React/TypeScript, SQL, APIs, system integrations, cloud infra, and production observability.
• Hands-on experience building AI-powered applications with model APIs, context management, tool integration, and retrieval architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own strategic client engagements from technical discovery to production adoption.
• Lead technical discovery, design tailored AI solutions, and validate opportunities.
• Drive post-sales success by building and integrating production AI systems.
• Develop scalable AI applications using LLMs, tool usage, RAG, and agentic workflows.
• Translate customer insights into product enhancements and reusable components.
