Job summary

T-Mobile is seeking a Sr Engineer, Commercial AI Forward Deployment to embed with business customers and deliver production-grade AI/edge deployments. You will build, test, and deploy across cameras, sensors, drones, and autonomous systems on T-Mobile's edge platform.

Responsibilities include leading customer discovery, designing data pipelines, and delivering reusable components. Requires strong Python and Kubernetes/OpenShift experience, plus cloud and AI deployment skills.

Qualifications

• Production software development in Python, plus one of C++, Go, TypeScript, or Java.
• Containerized and edge deployment with Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD, and observability.
• Data and ML pipelines (ingestion, fusion, fine-tuning, inference).
• Customer-facing technical communication and field troubleshooting.
• Experience with IoT/edge, cellular networks, or related domains is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical build for a customer deployment from scoping to deployment and handoff.
• Write and ship production code for device integrations, data pipelines, and ISV integrations on edge.
• Lead technical discovery with customer teams and translate requirements into plans.
• Integrate solutions with network and edge infrastructure; coordinate with RAN and Core teams.
• Manage Day 0 to Day 2 deployment activities, including testing and incident analysis.
• Package work into reusable blocks for the shared library and provide product feedback.
• Explain tradeoffs and risks clearly to customers and internal teams; escalate early.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and delivery standards.
