Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in the United States seeks a Senior Data Scientist, AI to execute data science, ML, and generative AI work powering priority AI use cases and workflow-enabled solutions.

You will partner with AI product managers, engineers, and clinical teams to translate questions into data science solutions, build predictive models, and deploy agentic AI capabilities that improve patient care, operations, and enterprise performance.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related field.
• Experience developing models, analytical frameworks, datasets, features, and metrics that influence product or clinical outcomes.
• Experience with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, analytics, operations, or governance.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-powered or agentic capabilities using enterprise data.
• Strong programming in Python and SQL, with production-oriented prototypes and API integrations.
• Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Translate AI use-case objectives into data science problem statements, models, and execution plans.
• Develop predictive/classification models, segmentation, personalization methods, and evaluation approaches.
• Partner with product, engineering, and clinical stakeholders to align data science work with real workflows.
• Prototype, validate, and productionalize data science and AI methods in collaboration with platform teams.
• Design and implement evaluation suites for model and agent performance, including safety and reliability.
