Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health seeks a Senior Data Scientist, AI to drive data science, AI model development, and deployment of generative AI capabilities across healthcare workflows. You will partner with AI Product Managers, engineers, clinical teams, and governance to deliver robust AI solutions and measurable outcomes.

The role combines advanced statistics, ML, and hands-on generative AI with practical product judgment, healthcare data fluency, and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field.
• Master’s degree preferred; PhD preferred for advanced modeling or clinical AI evaluation.
• 5–8+ years of experience in data science, ML, analytics, or related role.
• Experience developing models, datasets, features, metrics, or decision-support methods.
• Experience using Python, SQL, statistics, ML, experimentation, data visualization, and modern AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Translate AI use-case objectives into data science problem statements, modeling approaches, and execution roadmaps.
• Develop predictive models, classification, segmentation, personalization, and AI-enabled workflows.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data, clinical, and operational teams to align with real workflows.
• Prototype, validate, and productionalize data science and AI methods in partnership with engineering.
