Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead (AI & Automation) to provide technical leadership for PAOps applications under PBM. You will design, develop, and modernize cloud-native solutions enabling AI-powered workflow automation, document processing, and business optimization.

The role demands hands-on leadership with strong Python, GCP, and microservices expertise, plus experience deploying GenAI, LLMs, and AI agents in production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering for enterprise-scale apps.
• 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong Python with FastAPI/Flask experience.
• Designing microservices and REST APIs.
• GCP and cloud-native development expertise.
• Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, GitHub experience.
• Kafka or similar messaging for streaming data.
• Experience with BigQuery/BigTable/SQL data processing.
• GenAI/LLM, RAG, and AI Agents implementation.
• Knowledge of AI platforms (OpenAI, Gemini, Vertex AI).

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, development, and production support for PAOps apps.
• Drive cloud-native modernization and microservices design.
• Implement GenAI, LLM, RAG workflows in production.
• Collaborate with Data Eng/Science, Product, and Biz teams.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices across teams.
