Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a senior AI/ML engineer to design, build, and operationalize scalable GenAI solutions across AWS Bedrock and GCP Vertex AI. You will lead cross-functional teams, define ML project priorities, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and data privacy standards.

You will shape AI platform architecture, optimize data pipelines, and mentor engineers while delivering enterprise-grade AI capabilities for members, providers, and colleagues.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in large-scale software development.
• 5+ years solution architecture or system design experience.
• 5+ years building large-scale microservices/APIs using Node.js.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with GCP and AWS (serverless, event-driven, AI/ML, CI/CD).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Strong experience with Python for AI/ML engineering.
• Production experience with agentic AI frameworks, RAG architectures, vector databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operationalize scalable AI solutions across the affiliate line of business.
• Collaborate with data scientists, clinicians, and IT to define ML projects and priorities.
• Define performance metrics and evaluation methodologies for ML models.
• Design scalable ML systems, data pipelines, preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training.
• Advise on data pipelines, model training, and infrastructure optimization.
• Present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, data privacy, and security requirements.
• Lead performance management and team development.
• Stay up-to-date with AI advancements and evaluate new algorithms.
