Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead (AI & Automation) to lead the design, development, modernization, and support of PAOps applications under the PBM line. You will build cloud-native, AI-powered workflows with scalable microservices and robust data processing, collaborating with data teams and business partners.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, with deep Cloud, AI/GenAI expertise, strong Python/API skills, and a track record of delivering reliable, secure

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering for enterprise-scale apps.
• 2+ years in technical leadership roles.
• Strong Python development and API framework experience.
• Experience designing microservices, REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Expertise in GCP and cloud-native app development.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD and GitHub.
• Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka or similar).
• Experience with BigQuery/BigTable/SQL and data processing.
• Knowledge of software architecture, performance, observability.
• Hands-on with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and AI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for PAOps applications.
• Build scalable cloud-native solutions for AI-powered automation.
• Collaborate with Data Eng/Science, Product and Business teams.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices.
