Job summary

CVS Health is seeking T-shaped Archineers (Architect + Engineer) to bridge strategy and delivery, building AI-enabled healthcare solutions. You will work hands-on to turn abstract ideas into scalable, secure architectures.

Define roadmaps and reference implementations, guide engineers, and partner with business teams to ensure performance, reliability, and cost efficiency while expanding AI, APIs, data stores, cloud services and microservices.

Qualifications

15+ years of relevant work experience (8+ years in architecture).
10+ years building large scale business applications with modern technologies.
10+ years designing complex integrations with APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
8+ years proficiency with modern languages, frameworks, and technologies.
6+ years enabling north star architectures via mentoring and POCs.
Expert-level understanding of architectural methodologies and governance.

Responsibilities

Define and collaborate on roadmaps, architectures, standards, and starter code reference implementations.
Evaluate market trends and cost impacts on business outcomes.
Define future state architecture for AI, APIs, data stores, cloud infrastructures, cloud services, and microservices.
Collaborate with technology and business partners to optimize applications and systems.
Develop and maintain a strategic vision aligned to CVS Health platform and trends.
Define and collaborate on enterprise frameworks that promote reuse, reduce cost, and increase speed to market.
Provide guidance, direction and mentorship to engineers and stakeholders on architecture and design.
Ensure non-functional requirements are articulated and met (performance, availability, security, etc.).
Mentor and coach junior architects and seek continuous improvement opportunities.
