Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant work experience (8+ years in architecture).
• 10+ years building large scale business applications using modern technologies.
• 10+ years designing complex integrations with API/microservices/event-driven architecture.
• 8+ years with modern languages, frameworks, technologies.
• 6+ years mentoring delivery teams and building POCs/starter code.
• Expert-level understanding of architectural methodologies and governance.
• Recognized technical leader with full stack knowledge.
• Experience impacting strategic business decisions.
• Experience defining architecture with the C4 model.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate roadmaps, architectures, and starter code references to accelerate delivery, focusing on AI.
• Evaluate market trends, buys vs builds, and impact on outcomes.
• Define future state architecture for AI, APIs, data stores, cloud, and microservices.
• Collaborate with partners to optimize applications adopting modern architectures.
• Develop a strategic vision aligned to CVS Health platforms and trends.
• Create enterprise frameworks to promote reuse, reduce costs, and speed time-to-market.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to influence business outcomes.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers on architecture decisions.
• Ensure non-functional requirements (perf, availability, security) are met.
