HealthEquity, Inc. is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to architect and deliver a cloud-native AI platform on Microsoft Azure. You will design AI/LLM services, implement reusable patterns, and collaborate with Security, Compliance, and IT teams to ensure secure, scalable AI delivery.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding, integration, and mentoring colleagues in AI-enabled software development, with full remote work and quarterly onsite onboarding at HealthEquity HQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/SE.
• 5+ years in software or cloud app engineering with hands-on AI/ML development.
• Hands-on AI/ML/LLM app development experience with Azure portfolio.
• Experience using agentic coding assistants in daily development.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building AI/LLM-powered capabilities for internal problems using Azure AI services.
• Developing and integrating AI services, ensuring secure-by-design practices.
• Establish reusable patterns, frameworks, and guardrails for AI applications.
• Collaborating with Security and Compliance to meet HIPAA data- protection standards.
• Mentoring engineers in AI-assisted development and platform patterns.
