Job summary

Evolent in the United States is seeking a software engineer to design and build the adaptor layer between AI service engines and the enterprise service bus, and to develop real-time AI workloads.

You will deploy LLM-based agents, integrate Azure OpenAI, implement CI/CD, and maintain Triage services, while handling PHI securely and meeting security requirements. This remote role offers flexibility and a strong compensation package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field — or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong Python; experience with at least one other modern language.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs (e.g., Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic).
• Experience working in Agile development environments with code review, testing, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design and build adaptor layer between AI service engines and enterprise service bus, including FHIR PAS payloads.
• Build new synchronous service engine for real-time AI workloads.
• Deploy and operate LLM-based agents on service engines; manage production readiness.
• Maintain existing Triage services; perform bug fixes and upgrades.
• Integrate LLM and generative AI services into production workflows.
• Implement CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and observability.
