Job summary

Thomson Reuters seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Frisco, TX to build and deploy production AI solutions for tax and audit professionals. You will blend Python, backend engineering, LLMs, and client-facing delivery, leading simpler builds and partnering with senior engineers on complex solutions.

You will own delivery across engagements, build scalable services, ensure security and reliability, and contribute reusable patterns for future work in collaboration with staff and principal engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with system design and distributed architectures.
• At least 2 years building AI/ML or LLM-powered apps in production.
• Strong Python backend skills with REST APIs and asynchronous/event-driven systems.
• Hands-on with RAG architectures, vector databases, and AI orchestration tools.
• Experience deploying secure apps on AWS/Azure/GCP with IaC and CI/CD.
• Ability to lead client discussions and own delivery across priorities.

Responsibilities

• Own client delivery on simpler builds and standard integrations with clear scope.
• Build production AI apps including RAG pipelines, agents, and multi-step workflows.
• Develop scalable, secure backend services and connect to Thomson Reuters products.
• Establish AI evaluation, observability, and benchmarking for reliability.
• Partner with Tax & Audit AI Engineers to translate rules into engineering plans.
• Manage delivery across multiple engagements and contribute reusable components.
• Support deployments with post-launch stabilization and runbooks.
