Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and deploy production AI solutions for tax and audit professionals. You will blend Python, backend engineering, LLMs, and client-facing delivery to translate business needs into secure, reliable applications.

Lead simpler builds, collaborate with Staff/Principal engineers, and contribute reusable patterns while maintaining high standards for security, observability, and reliability in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with strong system design and architecture.
• Min 2 years building AI/ML or LLM-powered apps in production.
• Proficient in Python and backend engineering (REST APIs, async services).
• Hands-on with RAG architectures, vector stores, and AI orchestration.
• Experience deploying secure apps on AWS/Azure/GCP with IaC & CI/CD.
• Ability to lead client discussions and own delivery across priorities.

Responsibilities

• Own client delivery on simpler builds and standard integrations with clear scope.
• Build production AI apps including RAG pipelines and agent workflows.
• Develop scalable backend services and connect to Thomson Reuters products.
• Establish AI evaluation, observability, and performance benchmarks.
• Translate tax/audit rules into engineering plans and evaluation criteria.
• Manage delivery across multiple engagements with timely handoffs.
• Support deployments through post-launch stabilization and runbooks.
