Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and deploy production AI solutions for tax and audit professionals. You will blend Python, backend engineering, LLMs, and client-facing delivery across engagements and collaborate with Staff and Principal engineers on complex solutions.

You will own simpler client deliveries, develop scalable back-end services, and establish AI evaluation and observability to ensure reliable performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with design and distributed systems.
• At least 2 years building and deploying AI/ML or LLM-powered apps in production.
• Strong Python and backend engineering including REST APIs, async services, and event-driven systems.
• Hands-on with RAG architectures, vector databases, and AI orchestration tools.
• Experience deploying secure apps on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud with IaC and CI/CD.
• Ability to lead client discussions and own delivery across priorities.

Responsibilities

• Own client delivery on simpler builds and standard integrations.
• Build production AI applications, including RAG pipelines and agents.
• Develop scalable, secure backend services and connect to Thomson Reuters products.
• Establish AI evaluation, observability, benchmarking, and adversarial testing.
• Partner with Tax & Audit AI Engineers to translate rules into plans and criteria.
• Manage delivery across multiple engagements and support pre-sales discussions.
• Support deployments post-launch and contribute reusable components.
