Job summary

Thomson Reuters México seeks a Lead Software Engineer to build AI-driven software for accounting workflows. You will own backend services, APIs, and AI orchestration, integrating LLMs from multiple providers. This is a hybrid role with collaboration across AI/ML, frontend, and product teams.

You will lead engineering efforts, design scalable systems, and mentor teammates while delivering production-grade software in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of backend development experience.
• Strong Python skills with FastAPI experience.
• Experience designing APIs and data models.
• Distributed systems and production-grade software.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Passion for AI-driven software.
• Ability to lead engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end AI systems from backend to orchestration.
• Design and implement backend services with Python and PostgreSQL.
• Integrate LLMs from OpenAI, Anthropic, and others.
• Collaborate with AI/ML, frontend, and product teams.
• Mentor engineers and lead large projects.
