Job summary

Thomson Reuters Corp. in Eagan, MN, with hybrid work options across the United States, seeks a Staff Software Engineer – AI to lead production backend and AI capabilities on the Confirmation Product Engineering team.

You will stay hands-on in code, delivering C#/.NET services, distributed systems, and Python-based AI components for enterprise software. You will architect and implement LLM-driven workflows, AI agents, and orchestration, while mentoring engineers and defining engineering

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive software engineering experience with production systems.
• Strong C#/.NET backend development experience.
• Hands-on Python experience for AI/ML in production.
• Experience delivering AI features in enterprise software.
• Experience leading complex engineering initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and deliver production backend and platform services using C#/.NET, PostgreSQL, AWS, microservices.
• Build production AI/ML capabilities using Python, including LLM integration and AI agents.
• Lead hands-on AI engineering initiatives across product and infrastructure.
• Develop AI orchestration capabilities with routing, tool calling, MCP servers, and multi-step workflows.
• Design reliable, scalable distributed systems with observability and resilience.
• Mentor engineers and provide Staff-level technical leadership.
