Job summary

EY in the United States is seeking an experienced Lead AI Software Architect to design and implement memory architectures and data fabrics for enterprise AI. You will lead a team of AI Architects, shaping multi-agent memory design, RAG integration, and context management across distributed systems.

This role blends hands-on coding with strategic leadership, mentoring engineers, and cross-functional collaboration with AI, Security, Data, and Infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and AI.
• Experience with AI frontier models and memory/context architectures.
• Familiar with AI native tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Qodo/Codium, Gemini, AWS Q, and GitHub.
• Proficient in Python, Bash, Go, Rust and Java; understand AI native design and context management.

Responsibilities

• Design memory architectures for multi-agent systems to be replicated across AI-native systems.
• Design context systems including RAG and semantic search.
• Implement and benchmark architectures against AI/eval baselines.
• Create replicable integration frameworks for memory architectures across systems.
• Drive agent design requirements and implement via AI Native design process.
• Assess emerging memory architectures and frontier model proposals.
• Collaborate with AI, Security, Data and Infrastructure teams for practical outcomes.
• Support strategic business development for emerging tech; present at conferences.
• Hands-on coding and mentoring Knowledge/Data team.
• Lead a group building Knowledge and data systems for Knowledge AI.
