Vannevar is a defense-tech company building AI to deter adversaries. We are seeking a technical leader for the Agents Platform to drive development, adoption, and governance of robust AI Agents used in high-impact government contexts.

You will design best practices, establish evaluation frameworks, and partner with data and IAM teams to solve governance challenges unique to AI Agents, while evangelizing tooling across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building backend, infra, or ML systems in production.
• Experience with agent frameworks like LangGraph, Claude SDK, or Google ADK.
• Strong distributed systems, APIs, and cloud infrastructure experience.
• History evangelizing tooling within a medium-large organization.
• Passion for reliable, high-performance AI delivering end-user value.

Responsibilities

• Design and evangelize best practices for building AI Agents.
• Develop standards and tooling for agent quality including evaluation frameworks, test suites, and benchmarks.
• Partner with internal teams to identify product opportunities and build needed tooling.
• Collaborate with data platform and IAM teams to solve governance for AI Agents.
• Stay current with agent techniques and tooling, including agent architectures and tool calling.
