Job summary

Vannevar is seeking a technical leader to drive the Agents Platform that powers our government-focused AI solutions. You will architect and champion robust agent systems, tooling, and governance, collaborating across product and platform teams to deliver high-impact capabilities.

You will guide engineering in adopting agent frameworks, scale internal tooling, and stay ahead of developments in agent architectures and tool calling, ensuring reliability and performance for end users and missions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and deploying backend, infrastructure, or ML systems in production environments.
• Hands-on with Agent frameworks like LangGraph, Claude SDK, Google ADK, or similar.
• Strong software engineering skills, including distributed systems, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience evangelizing tooling within a medium-to-large organization.
• U.S. Person status is required to access U.S.-only data systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and evangelize best practices for building AI Agents.
• Drive standards and tooling for Agent quality including evaluation frameworks, test suites, and benchmark creation.
• Partner with internal teams to find emerging product opportunities and build the tooling needed to support them.
• Collaborate with other platform teams like data platform and identity access management to solve governance problems for AI Agents.
• Stay current with emerging Agent techniques, tools, and best practices, particularly in areas like agent architectures and tool calling.
