Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff to design, build, and ship autonomous AI agents integrated with our platform. You will work at the intersection of LLM orchestration, tool-use frameworks, and production engineering—owning complex functionality from end-to-end design to delivery and operation.

As a recognized SME and hybrid engineer, you will guide team execution, mentor AMTS/MTS engineers via pair programming, and present work to leadership.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience including hands-on LLM/agentic systems in production.
• Strong Python skills with experience in agent orchestration frameworks or building from scratch.
• In‑depth knowledge of prompt engineering, tool-calling, and evaluation of non-deterministic systems.
• Experience with API integrations, async systems, and distributed architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy multi-step, tool-using AI agents integrated with APIs, databases, and enterprise systems.
• Evaluate agent frameworks and optimize deployments for latency, cost, and reliability.
• Deliver high-quality features end-to-end, including planning, tasks, and dependency management.
• Build guardrails and evaluation harnesses to prevent hallucinations and unsafe tool calls; monitor production.
• Act as SME and coach for AMTS/MTS engineers through pair programming and reviews.
