Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff to design, build, and ship autonomous AI agents integrated with our platform. You will work at the intersection of LLM orchestration, tool-use frameworks, and production engineering-turning agentic prototypes into reliable, scalable, enterprise-grade systems.

As a recognized SME and hybrid engineer, you will own complex functionality from end-to-end design to delivery and operation, while guiding team execution and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
• Strong Python skills with mastery of agent orchestration frameworks or the ability to build frameworks from scratch.
• Deep understanding of prompt engineering, tool-calling, and evaluation of non-deterministic systems.
• Experience with API integrations, asynchronous systems, and distributed architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship autonomous AI agents integrated with our platform.
• Develop multi-step, tool-using agents with planning, memory, and tool invocation.
• Evaluate frameworks and optimize deployments for latency, cost, and reliability.
• Deliver end-to-end features from design through delivery and operation.
• Lead and coach engineers, collaborate with PMs and Scrum Masters.
