Job summary

Salesforce is seeking aSenior Member of Technical Staff to design, build, and ship autonomous AI agents integrated with our platform. You will lead end-to-end delivery, focusing on LLM orchestration, tool-use frameworks, and production-grade reliability.

As a recognized SME, you will guide architecture, optimize latency and cost, and mentor AMTS/MTS engineers while collaborating with PMs, Scrum Masters, and technical writers to create scalable enterprise solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience in production environments with LLM/agentic systems.
• Strong Python skills and mastery of agent orchestration frameworks or building frameworks from scratch.
• Deep understanding of prompt engineering, tool-calling patterns, RAG, and evaluation for non-deterministic systems.
• Systems & architecture expertise: API integrations, async systems, distributed architectures, modern design patterns.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents integrated with our platform.
• Evaluate agent frameworks and optimization for latency, cost, and production reliability.
• Deliver high-quality features end-to-end from design to delivery and operation.
• Build robust evaluation harnesses and guardrails to prevent hallucinations and unsafe calls.
• Mentor engineers and present work to leadership with collaboration with documentation teams.
