Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff to design, build, and ship autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents integrated with our platform. You will work at the intersection of LLM orchestration, tool-use frameworks, and production engineering—turning agentic prototypes into reliable, scalable enterprise-grade systems.

As a SME and hybrid engineer, you will own end-to-end functionality, guide team execution, and mentor engineers while collaborating with cross-functional partners

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
• Strong Python skills and experience with agent orchestration frameworks.
• Deep understanding of prompt engineering, tool-calling, and evaluation for non-deterministic systems.
• Experience with APIs, async systems, and distributed architectures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents integrated with our platform.
• Evaluate and select agent frameworks/orchestration patterns; optimize deployments for latency and cost.
• Deliver high-quality features across the full lifecycle; assist in slicing epics and coordinating tasks.
• Build guardrails, monitoring, and evaluation harnesses for production stability.
• Act as SME and coach for engineers; present plans and deliverables to leadership.
