Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff to design, build, and ship autonomous AI agents integrated with our platform. You will work at the intersection of LLM orchestration, tool-use frameworks, and production engineering-turning agentic prototypes into reliable, scalable systems.

As a recognized SME and hybrid engineer, you will own complex functionality from end-to-end design to delivery and operation, while guiding team execution and quality standards.

Qualifications

4+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
Hands-on experience building and deploying LLMs/agentic systems in production.
Strong Python skills and mastery of agent orchestration frameworks.
Deep understanding of prompt engineering, tool-calling patterns, and evaluation for non-deterministic systems.
Experience with API integrations and distributed architectures.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy multi-step, tool-using AI agents integrated with our platform.
Evaluate agent frameworks and optimize latency, cost, and reliability.
Deliver high-quality features end-to-end including design, execution, testing, and reviews.
Build guardrails and evaluation harnesses to prevent hallucinations and unsafe calls.
Mentor AMTS/MTS engineers via pair programming and code reviews.
