Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking an Agile Release Manager to lead Agile Release Train leadership for a global bank in Tampa, FL. The role is a contract position with a strong likelihood of extension and requires a hybrid work schedule with three days onsite weekly.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in technology delivery, program management, Agile leadership, or software engineering environments.
• Proven experience leading large-scale Agile programs, Agile Release Trains, or complex technology portfolios.
• Strong expertise in Agile, Scrum, Lean, and SAFe frameworks.
• Facilitating PI Planning and ART-level events.
• Understanding dependency management, delivery governance, and value stream management.
• Experience managing executive-level reporting, delivery metrics, and stakeholder communications.
• Advanced proficiency with JIRA and Agile reporting tools.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, facilitation, and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
• Experience working within large, complex, global organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Agile Release Train (ART) with primary leadership, coaching, and facilitation.
• Establish annual PI calendars and planning schedules.
• Collaborate with Agile Center of Excellence to ensure standards and governance.
• Work with Product Managers/Owners to align strategy, priorities, and execution.
• Facilitate ART ceremonies: Pre-PI Planning, PI Planning, SoS, PO Syncs, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt.
• Consolidate Team PI Objectives into Program objectives for transparency.
• Foster cross-team collaboration across the ART.
• Own and oversee execution of cross-functional technology initiatives.
• Manage ART risks, dependencies, impediments, escalations.
• Drive delivery metrics and governance using dashboards and reports.
• Coach teams in Lean-Agile practices and Communities of Practice.
• Optimize value stream and DevOps practices across programs.
• Oversee financial governance and program tracking.
• Identify and manage risks and ensure regulatory adherence.
