Job summary

Pratt & Whitney's Holt, Michigan facility is seeking a Senior Tooling Engineer to ensure the design, manufacture, readiness, and quality of tools, fixtures, and gauges that enable reliable production across our sites.

The Senior Tooling Engineer will lead full-lifecycle tooling activities—from concept/design and vendor sourcing to installation, commissioning, prove-out, and standardized handover—while collaborating with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Program Management to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 5+ years experience or Master's with 3+ years.
• Proficient in CAD/CAM systems: Creo/Pro/E and Siemens UG/NX.
• Strong data analysis using Excel and ability to present findings.

Responsibilities

• Design molds/dies for aerospace components and sheet metals.
• Create jigs/fixtures to assemble composite structures and complex assemblies.
• Model assemblies and verify dimensions using Creo/UG/NX.
• Develop tool specifications and coordinate supplier activity and tool build.
• Lead tool reviews and shop-floor prove-out with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate with Design Eng, Manufacturing Eng, Operations and PM.
