BWXT is seeking a Mechanical Tooling Engineer to design, develop, and procure tooling for heavy-equipment fabrication with a emphasis on safety and quality. The role uses NX extensively and requires collaboration with production, weld, and fabrication teams.

You will spend time on the shop floor to understand build sequences, prepare design reports, approve drawings, and support project schedules while maintaining strong communication with internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Nuclear, Manufacturing) or Physics.
• Minimum two years engineering experience.
• Experience with solid modeling; NX preferred.
• Ability to present information clearly in one-on-one or small groups.
• Must be able to obtain DOE clearance.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop tooling for heavy equipment fabrication.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to refine tooling.
• Model, analyze, and finalize tooling designs using NX.
• Work with vendors on pricing, kickoff meetings, and technical guidance.
• Spend time on the production floor to gain feedback and improve processes.
