Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Process Engineer (Tool Design) for our Rolling Meadows, IL facility. You will develop fixture and tooling concepts, collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, and production to support operations, and lead tool maintenance and redesign efforts.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical and communication skills, familiarity with NX/AutoCAD, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related tool design STEM field with 2+ years of experience or Master's with 0 years.

Responsibilities

• Develop fixture and tooling design concepts to aid manufacturing
• Design tooling with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering and production
• Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving projects
• Assist with tool design and redesign
• Direct new tool build, spare component, and tool maintenance
• Support Test Equipment Engineering with drawing support and release cycle submissions
