Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership for aircraft systems products and engineering functions, defining direction, driving integration and certification, and serving as SME.

The role reports to Systems Engineer Manager and requires 6+ years in aerospace systems engineering, leading cross-functional teams across systems, software, and hardware through the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• 6+ years of experience in aerospace systems engineering, avionics development, aircraft integration, or related engineering disciplines.
• 2 years’ experience with system requirements development, architecture, integration, verification, and validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of aircraft systems products, technologies, or engineering functions.
• Establish technical strategies, roadmaps, and development approaches that support business and customer objectives.
• Coordinate efforts across systems, software, hardware, safety, certification, and verification teams.
• Lead system integration and verification activities for assigned products or functions.
• Support laboratory, ground, and flight test activities.
