Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Quality Technician III to support the Quality Engineering group with FAI processing, NC handling, and documentation for UAV flight acceptance tests. You will witness and document flight activities and assist QEs with corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires strong GD&T knowledge, aerospace quality experience, and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Travel to remote flying sites and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2-4 years of related work experience.
• Aerospace quality management system experience (AS9100DD) and/or internal audit experience.
• Strong knowledge of drawing interpretation and GD&T to ANSI Y14.5.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with FAI validation and verification processes.

Responsibilities

• Processes FAI and deliverable submissions with records and logs.
• Conducts selective inspection under QE guidance and documents results.
• Handles internal non-conforming material per NC processes and communications.
• Supports QEs with corrective actions, product evaluation and DMAIC tools.
• Leads problem-solving activities and coordinates QA Technician tasks.
• Assists in audits and maintains inspection documentation packages.
• Develops and maintains quality process instructions.
