Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Quality Technician II to support the Quality Engineering group with FAI, NC material handling, and documentation for flight acceptance testing. The role involves detailing records, ensuring accurate submissions, and coordinating with QE, engineering, and suppliers in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic GD&T and inspection experience, and proficiency with MS Office; willingness to travel to remote sites and work overtime

Qualifications

• Mechanical inspection methods including surface plate work and hand tools.
• Ability to read drawings and GD&T per ANSI Y14.5.
• Familiarity with FAI validation/verification processes.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Experience documenting non-conformances and flight test records.

Responsibilities

• Process inbound/outbound FAI and deliverable submissions with records and logs.
• Conduct selective inspection and document results in the QE system.
• Process internal non-conforming material and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Support QEs with corrective actions, product evaluation, and Six Sigma tools.
• Assist with DCMA Source Inspection and coordination with Shipping/Contracts.
