Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Quality Technician II to support the Quality Engineering group. The role focuses on First Article Inspection, Part Approval Process, selective inspection, NC material handling, and documenting flight test activities.

The position entails creating inspection records, coordinating with QE staff, and supporting audits with thorough documentation and process improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of related work experience or equivalent education/ training.
• Knowledge of mechanical inspection methods and GD&T per ANSI Y14.5.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
• Proficient in MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Process inbound/outbound FAI and deliverable submissions with records and logs.
• Conduct selective inspection under QE guidance and document results.
• Process internal non-conforming material per NC procedures and track status.
• Provide QE support including corrective action and data analysis (A3, Six Sigma DMAIC).
• Coordinate with Shipping and Contracts to ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare Final Inspection documentation package (COC, TDRs) for audits.
