Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Quality Technician III to support the Quality Engineering group with FAI submissions, inspections, and NC processing. You will maintain documentation, assist in audits, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives with Six Sigma tools.

The role requires hands-on inspection, data recording, and reporting across flight-test activities, with travel to remote sites and overtime as needed. A strong GD&T background and AS9100 familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-4 years of related work experience.
• AS9100DD knowledge and/or internal audit experience.
• Proficiency with GD&T per ANSI Y14.5.
• Strong MS Office skills and documentation ability.
• Experience with FAI validation and verification processes.

Responsibilities

• Process inbound/outbound FAI and deliverable submissions with proper records and logs.
• Conduct selective inspection under QE direction and document inspection results.
• Process internal non-conforming material and manage NC documentation.
• Provide QE support including Corrective Action Requests and problem solving.
• Lead problem-solving activities (Fishbone, 5-Why, Fault-tree) and coordinate QA staff.
• Support DCMA Source Inspection and audits; prepare Final Inspection documentation.
