Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Quality Technician II to support the Quality Engineering group with FAI processing, inspections, and nonconformance handling. The role requires documenting test results and maintaining compliance with quality systems as part of a fast-paced UAV testing environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with shipping and contracts, supporting audits, and creating Final Inspection documentation packages. Travel to remote sites and training flights are involved.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of mechanical inspection methods and GD&T to ANSI Y14.5.
• Experience reading drawings and interpreting GD&T.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Able to document flight/test and non-conformances.
• Experience with flight test documentation.

Responsibilities

• Process FAI and deliverable submissions with records and logs.
• Perform selective inspection under QE direction and document results.
• Process internal non-conforming material and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Support QE with corrective actions, product evaluation, and Six Sigma tool usage.
• Support DCMA source inspection and coordinate with shipping/contracts.
