Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. in Wichita, KS is seeking a highly experienced Supply Chain Procurement Associate to drive material sourcing and supplier management for Spirit’s assembly lines. You will manage RFQs, contracts, and POs while coordinating with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in a supply chain role, preferably within aerospace or manufacturing, or a Master's degree and 8+ years related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of MRP Systems, SAP preferred
• Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Data analysis and problem‑solving skills
• High energy, dynamic personality with an ability to effect change
• Ideal candidate understands relationships and uses influence to obtain outcomes

Responsibilities

• Synchronize a supply chain for obtaining all metallic and non-metallic raw materials; interface with customers and suppliers
• Act as an authorized agent with responsibility for managing supplier-related activities and commitments via contracts and purchase orders
• Develop RFQs/RFPs, analyze responses, negotiate and award contracts, manage post award activity
• Interfaces with internal and external customers and suppliers
• Place inventory levels, purchase orders, and monitor supplier performance
• Monitor inventory demand and material assets to optimize total supply chain planning
• Ability to take big data, analyze and summarize for executive presentations
• Team player, collaboration with multi-functional groups
