Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. in Kansas is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Specialist to synchronize materials procurement for metallic and non-metallic raw materials.

You will manage supplier relations, PO placement, and inventory planning to meet production needs, leveraging SAP and MS Office tools. The role requires 3+ years in a supply chain function within aerospace or manufacturing, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with contracts and post-award activities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a supply chain role in aerospace/manufacturing.
• Proficient in SAP, MS Office, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage projects.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and process-focused.
• Ability to build relationships and influence outcomes.
• Read/interpret engineering drawings (preferred).
• Bachelor's in Finance/Business/Supply Chain or MBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Synchronize the supply chain for metallic and non-metallic raw materials.
• Interface with internal/external customers and suppliers to ensure timely quality materials.
• Develop RFQs/RFPs, analyze responses, negotiate and award contracts.
• Place inventory levels, purchase orders, and monitor supplier performance.
• Monitor inventory demand and optimize total supply chain planning.
• Incorporate planning decisions from customers and suppliers to reduce variability.
